The FBI's latest Internet Crime Report reveals an 18% year-over-year increase in ransomware incidents, with total reported losses skyrocketing 74%, from $34 million to nearly $60 million. Additionally, a global survey of 5,000 business leaders found that 59% were impacted by ransomware in the past year. Alarmingly, 32% of these incidents began with an unpatched vulnerability, underscoring the critical need for proactive cybersecurity measures.
